Sajdah
■ Sajda
Prostration (Sajdah سجدة) is a profound station (Maqam مقام) of worship, bestowed as a special gift (Fadl فضل) upon the elect (Awliya أولياء).
It transcends a mere physical posture to become a spiritual ascension (Wusul وصول) into a realm of intimate union (Ittihad اتحاد) with the Divine (Haqq الحق).
This privilege is not a universal grant but a specific choice (Iqrar اقرار) of the Almighty (Al-Quddus القدوس). Thus, it is incumbent upon the worshipper to approach this act (Amal عمل) with gratitude (Shukr شكر) and humility (Tawadh’ تواضع).
Recognizing oneself as chosen (Mujtabā مختار) from billions for this sacred encounter, one should cherish this unique opportunity (Furṣah فرصة) to deepen faith (Eman إيمان) and connection (Ittisal اتصال) with the Creator (Al-Khaliq الخالق).
With each prostration (Sajdah سجدة), one affirms dependence (Tawakkُ توكل) on Allah and acknowledges His supreme authority (Rububiyyah ربوبية).
It is a moment of surrender (Istiṣlām استسلام), purification (Tazkiyah تزكية), and renewal (Tajdīd تجديد). Thus, let the heart overflow with thankfulness (Shukr شكر) when in this exalted position of worship.
