Allama Iqbal, a renowned Urdu poet, beautifully captures the essence of true devotion to Allah

■ Finding Allah: Poetry, ilhaam, and the Path to Divine Love
Allama Iqbal, a renowned Urdu poet, beautifully captures the essence of true devotion to Allah in his poetry:
کی محمد سے وفا تو نے تو ہم تیرے ہیں۔
یہ جہاں چیز ہے کیا لوح و قلم تیرے ہیں
"If you have loyalty to Muhammad (peace be upon him), then we belong to you.
What is this world? The tablet and pen belong to you."
This profound statement signifies the complete surrender of one's self to Allah, where everything becomes His.
● Allah's ilhaam to His Aulia Allah Saints
Allah Almighty revealed to His Aulia Allah saints:
"My servants, be aware: The one who seeks Me with sincerity has found Me. The one who seeks anything other than Me, whether he finds it or not, will not find Me."
Those Aulia Allah and their descendants, followers, and devotees who have truly found Allah, have also been found and loved by Him. The entire universe belongs to them.
● The Contrast Between Believers and Disbelievers:
In contrast, the disbeliever's identity is lost in the vastness of the world, while the believer finds himself immersed in Allah's vastness.
The world revolves around those who are on the path of truth. The world seeks them relentlessly, for when Allah wills something for a servant, the world cannot escape it. If we pursue the world, it becomes our desire, and we become its devotees.
● The Analogy of the Shadow:
Consider the example of a shadow. If you walk forward, the shadow follows behind. But if you turn around and walk in the opposite direction, the shadow now precedes you.
● Allah's Aulia were inspired by this divine wisdom:
"If a servant seeks the world, the world will run ahead of him. But if he turns away from the world and seeks Me, the world will follow him."
● The Rewards of Seeking Allah
Allah further revealed:
"The one who seeks Me with the desire for repentance has found Me with forgiveness.
The one who seeks Me with the garment of repentance will find My forgiveness."
"The one who seeks Me with gratitude in the state of gratitude will find Me bestowing blessings upon him without measure."
"The one who seeks Me with supplication will find Me accepting his supplications."
"The one who seeks Me with trust and contentment will find Me sufficient for him in life. No need of his will remain unfulfilled."
"The one who seeks Me with the desire for My closeness will find Me loving him."
"The one who seeks Me with My love will find Me granting him union with Me."
Allama Iqbal's poetry and the divine Ilhaam to Aulia Allah serve as a beacon, guiding us towards the path of true devotion and ultimate fulfillment in the love of Allah.
