Man and the Parrot

■ The Real Reason Behind:
A man had a parrot, and when the parrot died, he cried a lot—so much that people were shocked. They said, “It’s just a parrot that died. You can get another one; it’s not such a big loss that you are crying endlessly.”
The man replied, "The thing is, I had taught this parrot how to greet with salaam and how to recite the kalma (declaration of faith). SubhanAllah! Whenever someone came, it would greet them with salaam and recite the kalma. And when no one was around, it would continuously recite the kalma. But when its final moments came, I saw that it forgot the kalma and made strange sounds as it passed away. This frightened me—what if, in my final moments, I am not able to recite the kalma?”
The real success is for the one whose end is in a state of goodness. Just like we often pray, whether we have anything or not, we ask that when we leave this world, our faith (imaan) remains intact. What a beautiful dua (prayer): that my imaan stays safe at the moment of my death.
How wonderful it would be if my lips continued to recite Durood until my last breath. SubhanAllah!
And here's a couplet: "Ask the one who spent the night in Madinah, about the joy of that experience."
SubhanAllah! What a beautiful thought! I pray that I turn into the dust of Madinah, that my destiny is to be part of that blessed soil. Ameen!
The coolness beneath their feet was like the joy of snowfall. SubhanAllah!
