What is the importance of the right to the protection of life

(collective system of human life)

[al-Mā’idah, 5:32]

مِنۡ اَجۡلِ ذٰلِکَ ۚۛؔ کَتَبۡنَا عَلٰی بَنِیۡۤ اِسۡرَآءِیۡلَ اَنَّہٗ مَنۡ قَتَلَ نَفۡسًۢا بِغَیۡرِ نَفۡسٍ اَوۡ فَسَادٍ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ فَکَاَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِیۡعًا ؕ وَ مَنۡ اَحۡیَاہَا فَکَاَنَّمَاۤ اَحۡیَا النَّاسَ جَمِیۡعًا ؕ وَ لَقَدۡ جَآءَتۡہُمۡ رُسُلُنَا بِالۡبَیِّنٰتِ ۫ ثُمَّ اِنَّ کَثِیۡرًا مِّنۡہُمۡ بَعۡدَ ذٰلِکَ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ لَمُسۡرِفُوۡنَ ﴿۳۲﴾ 

On account of this, We prescribed (this commandment in the Torah sent down) to the Children of Israel that whoever killed a person (unjustly), except as a punishment for murder or for (spreading) disorder in the land, it would be as if he killed all the people (of society); and whoever (saved him from unjust murder and) made him survive, it would be as if he saved the lives of all the people (of society, i.e., he rescued the collective system of human life). And indeed, Our Messengers came to them with evident signs. Yet, even after that, the majority from amongst these people are certainly those who commit excesses in the land.

इसी वजह से हमने बनी इस्राईल पर (नाज़िल की गई तौरात में ये हुक्म) लिख दिया (था) कि जिसने किसी शख़्स को बिगै़र क़िसास के या ज़मीन में फसाद अंगेजी़ (की सजा़) के बिग़ैर (ना हक़्क़) क़त्ल कर दिया तो गोया उसने (मुआशरे के) तमाम लोगों को क़त्ल कर डाला और जिसने उसे (ना हक़्क़ मरने से बचाकर) ज़िन्दा रखा तो गोया उसने (मुआशरे के) तमाम लोगों को ज़िन्दा रखा (यानी उसने हयाते इंसानी का इज्तिमाई निज़ाम बचा लिया), और बेशक उनके पास हमारे रसूल वाज़ेह निशानियां लेकर आए फिर (भी) इसके बाद उन में से अक्सर लोग यक़ीनन ज़मीन में हद से तजावुज़ करने वाले हैं।
