One such hadith is narrated by Abu Hurairah, who reported that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it. So, Allah forgave her because of that"

This hadith illustrates the importance of being kind to animals, and how even small acts of kindness can lead to forgiveness from Allah. Feeding birds, like feeding any other animals, is considered a virtuous act in Islam, and it is believed to bring blessings and rewards from Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (peace be upon him) said, "Allah has ordained kindness (and excellence) in everything. If the killing (of animals) is required, do it in the best manner, and when you slaughter, do it in the best manner by sharpening your knife well, and making the animal comfortable"

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (peace be upon him) said, "There is a reward for serving any animate (living being)"

These sayings highlight the importance of kindness towards animals in Islam and the rewards that come with it. Feeding birds and other animals is considered an act of charity and compassion, and it is believed to bring blessings and rewards from Allah.
